I’ve been an Ipsy subscriber for almost a year now, and their monthly glam bags never seem to disappoint. I live on samples because I love to try new products, although I do have my beauty staples!
This month’s Glam Bag was awesome from the start because all my products came in a glittery silver pouch designed by Forever 21…score!
Here’s a list of what was inside from left to right.
1.) IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye concealer in “Neutral Medium”
2.) Starlooks lipgloss in “Guilty Pleasure”
3.) Be a Bombshell eye base in “Submissive”
4.) Marc Anthony Argan Oil Hairspray
5.) SeaRx Microdermabrasion Scrub
Let’s start with my favorite product, the IT Cosmetics concealer. I have pretty fair skin so my under eye circles are usually pretty noticeable. I applied a teeny amount with my ring finger, and was super pleased with the result.
This concealer has a thicker consistency which I like. Even though I’m fair, I tend to stick with medium shades in foundation and concealer. Nothing is worse than taking a picture and having a noticeable concealer ring around your eyes…THE worst. I’m definitely a fan of this product.
My second favorite sample had to be the Starlooks gloss. This was surprising because like any girl, I have a million lipsticks, balms, and glosses. It takes a special one to win me over, and this did the job.
As you can see the color is pretty true on my lips, from what you can see on my hand. This would be an awesome gloss to wear with a smokey eye because it is still neutral while giving your lips a pop of pink. It also smoothed out the appearance of my lips, which have been rather dry from the cold weather. I think that is what really sold me on this gloss.
I love eye bases. I usually layer them over my favorite eyeshadow primer (Too Faced Candlelight) and finish with eyeshadow, and my eye makeup lasts ALL day. This is a very sheer gold base and I can’t wait to use it with my Naked 1 palette which has been my go-to lately. It will go perfectly with some of my favorite shades.
For those of you wondering, I am wearing one coat of Urban Decay Perversion Mascara in these pictures. Run, don’t walk, and pick it up immediately. It might be my favorite mascara ever.
The final two products, the Marc Anthony Argan Hairspray and the SeaRx microdermabrasion scrub are also nice, but I don’t use that much hairspray or facial scrubs. If I do use hairspray it’s the Kenra Artformation Spray. The SeaRx also doubles as a body scrub too, so that’s a plus if you’re looking for a 2 in 1 type product.
Make sure to go to the Ipsy website if you want to find any of the products mentioned above, and if you don’t have a subscription yet…Christmas IS right around the corner so make sure to drop a hint!
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Are there any beauty subscriptions or subscriptions in general you’re loving at the moment? I would love to hear about them.
