Finally, the review I have been waiting to write! I love the Naked on the Run palette by Urban Decay. If you haven’t purchased it yet, I highly suggest it because I think it is worth every penny. I have had it for about a month and since the writing is already coming off on the top of the palette, I’d say it’s absolutely getting its fair share of use. It’s perfect for travel seeing that besides my foundation and concealer, this is the only other makeup I brought with me for my 12 day trip.
For those of you not familiar, the palette comes with 5 eyeshadow shades, a highlighter, bronzer, blush, mascara, eyeliner, AND lipgloss.
The eyeshadow shades are versatile enough for everyday wear, or layered for a nighttime look.
From left to right the colors are Dive, Fix, Resist, Dare, Stun, and the 24/7 glide-on pencil in Stag. I didn’t swatch the highlighter in 50/50 because it’s a pretty translucent all over color and is hard to see in a picture.
Here is my favorite eye shadow look with this palette.
I used 50/50 all over my lid and brow bone, Stun on my lid, Fix in my crease, and Resist in the outer corners. I of course finished the look with the Perversion mascara (which has already been a favorite) and black eyeliner. I like the eye liner they included, its nice for a pencil. I usually prefer a black liquid liner, so that is what I have been using with these shadows.
I also have become obsessed with the lipgloss from this palette. The shade they include is Sesso, and it’s a beautiful rose gold color.
The gloss is supposed to reduce the appearance of lines, improve volume, and nourish lips. I definitely think it does all three. I can see a difference when I wear this, and I think that’s why I like it so much. Plus the smell is minty and fresh!
Lastly, I really love the blush and bronzer combo. Even if I am not wearing the shadows from this palette, I have been finding myself using the blush and bronzer almost everyday. A lot of people I know are concerned the bronzer would be too dark, but I think it is perfect. I have fair skin, and this blends nicely. I tried my best to capture the look.
Has anyone else tried Naked on the Run? Thoughts?
