Happy Monday everyone! As January comes to a close, I thought I would share some of my favorite products of the moment.
Let’s talk about this Anastasia Brow Pen, because I am obsessed with it. I have it in the shade “Universal Dark.”
I am always on the lookout for new brow products because I unfortunately wasn’t blessed with beautiful thick brows and I always have to fill them in. The struggle. I picked this up at Sephora on a whim, and let me tell you the results are magical.
The left is my face right before I start my makeup routine, and the right is the finished product (I always fill my brows in last). This pen looks so natural and I honestly don’t think I can ever go back to anything else after trying this.
Next is another product I have been dying to try, and that is the Covergirl Full Lash Bloom mascara. Talk about effective advertising because one look at Katy Perry’s fluttery lashes in the commercial, and I found myself running to Target to pick it up.
First things first, this kind of marcara wand is my favorite because it gives a nice separated look. Second, it promises to be flake free which is the only thing I have wanted in my mascara lately…and yes, it lives up to that promise. Third, I don’t mind the $6.99 price tag one bit.
My most favorite product as of the past month has been the Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray. To be honest, sea salt sprays always kind of confused me. My hair is too straight to spray this in and have it dry wavy, and also too straight to be diffused into a wavy texture. I don’t know why it never occured to me I could spray it on dry hair to get the same results. Le duh. Since this discovery, my life has changed for the better. So I usually curl my hair in one inch sections and spray this all over to get a beachy-wave inspired look. It also smells heavenly.
I was also in the market for a new face wash a couple weeks ago, and picked up the Olay Fresh Effects Acne Control Face Wash. I usually tend to go for cleansers that have some sort of acne preventing ingredient in them because I do suffer from breakouts on a pretty consistent basis. I really like this product. It smells great, it makes my face feel super clean, and it’s not irritating in the least bit…which can sometimes be a problem with acne face washes. Now I just need a solid moisturizer…help a girl out with any good recommendations!
Lastly, let’s talk about the Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour lipcolor…because I can’t help myself when it comes to new lip colors. I have this in the shade “Everlasting Wine.” While I wouldn’t say it lasts 24 hours, it does last a pretty long time, and I just love this deep red shade for the winter. I’d definitely be interested in trying more colors from this line.
So there you have it! My favorite products from the month. Any suggestions for what I should try next?
