Cheek Contouring in 1-2-3-4!

Has anyone else always been baffled by how to contour? For those of you who picture this image in your mind when you think of contouring, you are not alone!

I love the look of contoured cheekbones but I do not have the time or energy to even TRY and figure out how to do this to my face. Luckily, I learned an easy way to contour that takes less than 5 minutes and involves products you probably already have in your makeup bag.

Here are the essentials:

I love Stroke of Light in Luminous 2 by Bare Minerals and the Candlelight highlighting powder from Too Faced.

I like to use a bronzer that is slightly darker than what I would normally use to get definition. I like the POP Beauty Sunkissed bronzer.

I’ve posted before that I love the Sweethearts Blush by Too Faced in Candy Glow. Any blush shade will work, I love the shimmer in this one though.

Now let’s get down to business! Here’s my contouring process in 4 easy steps.

Step 1: I apply the Stroke of Light to my under eye area/top of my cheekbone. This product is FANTASTIC for covering up dark circles too. I also dust a little of the Candlelight powder on top of the Stroke of Light as well as my nose, chin, and forehead.

Step 2: Sorry for my awkward face, but you know we all have all made it at one point in order to get that line under the cheek! I use a thinner, slightly more compacted brush to draw a “line” with my bronzer in this indentation and upward towards my ear.

Step 3: This isn’t so much of a step as it is a check to make sure the bronzer is well blended so it doesn’t look like a harsh line on the side of your face.

Step 4: Using a fluffier brush (I like my Flawless Face Brush from Bare Minerals) I apply the blush to the apples of my cheeks, blend it upward, as well as into the highlighted/bronzed areas.

Finally, the finished product! I tried to find a picture that captured this look the best. I swear this process makes a HUGE difference. My cheeks definitely look sculpted and more defined, and it’s super simple to do.
