DIY Lipstick Holder

Hi everyone! So if you have read many of my other posts, I have a thing for lipstick…actually it’s more like lipstick, lip gloss, lip balm, and lip stain too. I don’t discriminate when it comes to lip products! I also love candles and have many used up candle jars laying around my apartment. What do these two things even have in common you might ask?

Well, yesterday I went from this giant mess (sadly, this isn’t even all of it)…

…to a neat and organized way to hold my lip products, and re purpose all of those old candle jars!

Here’s a closer look

I like using a jar with the lid for lipsticks since they’re shorter, and using a jar without the lid for all my taller stains and glosses.

So the next time your candles finally get to the point where the wicks burn out, put the jar in the freezer for a couple of hours. The wax should pop out at this point, but some candles are a little harder to remove from the jar than others. In this case, I usually break up the excess wax with a knife to loosen it, and then dispose of it. After, I soak the jars in soap and water to remove any waxy residue as well as the labels and that’s it! These holders would also be great for jewelry, makeup brushes, or other beauty products.

Happy DIYing!
