A Few of My Favorite Beauty Things…

Happy Tuesday all! It’s been a good day seeing as I put the blonde back into Blonde Side Style and finally got my hair done after a long 10 weeks. Is there any better feeling than a fresh cut and color? I think not.

While we are on the subject of beauty routines, I wanted to share some of my favorite new beauty products I’ve picked up in the past couple of weeks.

From left to right is the NYX Proof It eyebrow primer, Maybelline The Elixir gloss in Petal Plush, Murad Clarifying Wipes, Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry RosΓ© Kiss, and the Garnier Nourishing Cleansing oil.

Lets start with the NYX eyebrow primer. This is one of those products that I picked up on a whim and didn’t think I really needed, but after using it, I wonder how I ever lived without eyebrow primer. My brow filler lasts all day with no smudging. I plan to post an eyebrow filling tutorial featuring this soon.

Not that I need another lipgloss, but I heard good things about this one from Maybelline. I like it a lot, it gives my lips a nice smooth appearance and I like the consistency. It reminds me of my Dior Addict gloss in Dormeuse, but this gloss has a hint of shimmer and is a fraction of the price. I’ll take it!

The Nivea Lip Butter has been my go-to balm during the day and before I go to bed at night. It is very moisturizing and has a hint of color and shine. I especially love to apply this after I use my Lush sugar scrub. My lips have never felt softer. There are also many other scents that sound so good in the lip butters, I may just have to try them.

Lastly, I was in desperate need to switch up my skincare routine. I’ve heard many people talk about cleansing oils before, but I felt like an oil would never make my face feel clean. I decided to try this one from Garnier and I was pleasantly surprised. I use two pumps and rub it into my face, and rinse. It turns to a milky consistency when it’s mixed with water and it gets all of my makeup off…and there is no residue from the oil. I’m amazed! Since I still suffer from breakouts, I decided to give the Murad Clarifying Wipes a try. I use these as a toner after I wash my face and they’ve been working well for me. My skin feels super clean after using these two products together.

Have you tried any of these? Would love to know what you think!
