Hi beauties. Okay, so here’s the deal with this product. I wanted to love it, I really did, and I loved the finished look that I got with it, but it was so messy. It was so messy that I don’t know if I could handle the ordeal that is applying this product on a daily basis.
I was at Target a couple weeks back and as I was looking through the cosmetics aisle, I saw this blush was on clearance for $2, and I loved the bright pink color. Generally speaking, I like most ELF products so I wanted to give it a shot. The shade I purchased was “Encore.”
I finally decided to give this product a go yesterday and was genuinely excited to try it out. The packaging says that you can apply it with your finger or the ELF Stipple Brush (which I also recently purchased and reccomend). Usually I just use my fingers to apply cream blush so I figured I would do the same here. Wrong. This is your disclaimer to NOT apply this product with your fingers because it will be everywhere. Seriously, everywhere.
Later in the day, I gave the application process another shot. This is about how much I applied to the back of my hand to use with my stipple brush this time, and I think this may even still be too much, that is how pigmented this product is.
The brush helped slightly, but it was still messy. I also suggest washing your brush after unless you want it to be stained pink. It is also a little difficult to blend once it’s on your face, and again since it is so pigmented, I had to apply a little pressed powder over the product to tone it down slightly.
However, this was my finished product.
I honestly loved how it looked when all was said and done, and I also loved the staying power. Unfortunately, I just don’t think this is a product for everyday use. I wish the formula was a little easier to work with, and in that case, then it would be a great everyday use blush.
Has anyone else had this experience with this product? Have you found an easier way to apply, because I would love to know!
