November Ipsy Glam Bag Review

It’s been a while since I’ve reviewed an Ipsy bag, and November’s bag had me feeling inspired since the last few weren’t my favorites (sorry, Ipsy!). First off, I love the bag itself, the galaxy print is just too pretty and here is what I received in this month’s bag:

Going clockwise: Coolway Stronghold Spray, Josie Maran Argon Oil Light, Crown Brush Deluxe Pointed Crease Brush, Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara, and Beaute Basics Gel Eyeliner in Navy

I’m so excited about the Josie Maran Argon Oil, I’ve been eyeing this up on every Sephora trip, but I haven’t wanted to take the plunge without trying it first. With that being said, I would absolutely commit to buying the full size version of this product seeing as I’ve been using it in my hair, on my face, and all over my cuticles, it truly is multi purpose!

I have received a couple of Coolway products and am super stoked about their Stronghold Spray which is supposed to offer volume and smoothness, along with holding your style in place all day. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m already sold and hopefully it delivers as much as I think it will.

I always love getting new brushes, since, and I’m not going to lie here, I hardly ever buy makeup brushes. I’m really liking this crease brush. I’m telling you that it really makes all the difference to have a brush specifically designed for the crease when applying your shadow. I’m also digging the Beaute Basics gel eyeliner. I’m a creature of habit with my black eyeliner, and I specifically love gel formulations. To be honest, they work the best for me. This navy shade is very striking, and although I don’t think I would use it in place of my usual black liner, I would love to do a slight pop of color with this liner on my bottom lash line, which is usually the only place I use colored liner.

Last but not least, I was not thrilled to receive the Smashbox Mascara. I’ve tried this product before, and I just don’t love it- I tried, I really did! I actually had to put my normal mascara over it. To give it some credit, it is a nice mascara, but it doesn’t give me the dramatic voluminous look I typically go for. I let my mom have it to see if she likes it better than I did, I never like to let samples go to waste!

So what do you think? If you received an Ipsy bag this month I would love to know your thoughts, and if you do not have Ipsy and are wondering how to sign up, you can click here!

Happy Wednesday beauties!
