A Sparkling New Year

Hey all! My name’s Caroline, and I run the blog Bashful Blunder! I was so excited to get in touch with the fabulous woman who runs BlondeSideStyle, Nina. She’s such a sweetie pie and we immediately got the ball rolling on some fun ideas to share with you guys for the upcoming holiday season! I’ve got a mad affinity for sequins, glitter, and really anything that sparkles and shines in the light. With Christmas right around the corner, and New Years coming up quickly behind that I thought it would be so fun to share my three favorite ways to wear some sparkly somethings to your next party.

1. Glam it up with a sequin top!

I found this absolutely glam top at one of my favorite shops, Fab’rik. It’s absolutely amazing! The texture is so fun with some silver sequins intermingling with the black ones to create a kind of messy yet chic effect. Because of that, I continued that feel through my pant/shoe choice, opting for my favorite boyfriend jeans and some of my best wedges! Such a fun outfit for a night out with the girls or for welcoming in the New Year with some friends at home.

2. Stand out with a solid sequin skirt

Okay, let me say that I love, love, LOVE this skirt! I found it browsing through a cute little online boutique, 12East, and when I saw the price I knew I had to get it! Such a good deal for such a great product, the lining is too soft for words and it’s just such a well made piece. I chose to pair it with my favorite wedges and the softest tee I own. With a skirt like this there isn’t much more you need to say! If the weather were colder here in the Peach State I would pair a black blazer or even a cape with this to keep warm. So glamorous and great for a festive party!

3. More can be less with a glittering clutch

For my final look, I chose a more subtle outfit. Again, my favorite wedges (they’re a favorite for a reason!) and a little black dress. The silhoutte of this dress is so flattering for so many shapes and sizes that it’s almost too good to be true, plus LBD’s are the bread and butter of a wardrobe so I highly suggest one with a shape like this. Pair it with a super glitzed purse like mine, a bracelet and some earrings and you’re out the door! Such an easy and classy outfit that you can put together in the last minute!
