Hi, my name is Nina, and I am a Bachelor addict.
While I take my thoughts to Instagram and Twitter each week, I have decided that just wasn’t enough. I needed to share ALL of my feelings about each week’s episode of The Bachelor. Therefore, I introduce you to my newest segment…Batchin’ and Betchin’, my weekly Bachelor recap.
This week, the ladies find themselves in Vegas where they are greeted by a welcome message from Ben on a giant marquis, which JoJo, and sorry because I love you girl, proclaims is “so romantic.”
I don’t know about you, but it would be way more romantic if this moment wasn’t being shared with 14 other girls. Oh no, I’m starting to sound like Olivia…
Speaking of our favorite girl, the most important thing I learned this episode is that if anyone ever makes this face at you…run.
Don’t even look back. I’ve basically come to the conclusion that Olivia hates anyone that isn’t Olivia.
Cut to the scene with the twins on the treadmill together. Compared to the rest of the things that concerned me in this episode, this was low on the list, but still concerning nonetheless. Also did anyone else hear them say they have the same JOB?! So does that mean they are not “twins” for a living…or is that actually exactly what it means? I need help to understand the complex world of Bachelor contestant job descriptions.
Ben’s 1 on 1 with JoJo was pretty adorable, she is definitely one of my top picks for Ben. Also, props to her for keeping it cool in the midst of that helicopter landing.
Now let’s get the really good part…and by really good part I mean the talent show…and by talent show…I mean Olivia’s cake jumping, onstage/backstage meltdown extravaganza.
When you’re like, “I’m marriage material.”
To be honest I don’t even remember what any of the other girls did at said talent show because Olivia left me so
emotionally scarred terrified um, surprised (?), everything else just escaped my short term memory. I think Ben’s face in this moment said all the things that I couldn’t.
Cut to the talent show after party, where Olivia proceeded to interrupt everyone’s one on one time and make all of America even more uncomfortable by standing like this in front of the camera for 2 minutes.
I am also quite frankly at a loss for words over Ben calling Caila a “sex panther.” If there was ever a nickname I didn’t want to be called, that would be it.
My favorite part of this episode was Becca
and Ben’s 1 on 1. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I am totally Team Becca. She is gorgeous, stylish, classy, and she just seems so down to earth. I mean did you see her perfect outfit? I’m still obsessing.
Also how were any of these couples able to focus with Ben’s dramatically unbuttoned shirt and exposed chest hair in the way?! Button up Ben, your handsome good looks are already distracting enough.
The future Mr. and Mrs. Higgins. Seriously, how cute are they?!?
Ok, I’ll stop obsessing about Benecca, yes I just named their couple status, and move on. The twin thing is becoming too much for me. I think he should’ve sent both home, because how awkward is it that he chose one over the other? Almost as awkward as the fact the one who was chosen threw her own sister under the bus. Why am I not using names do you ask? Because I still can’t tell them apart.
We finish with another rose ceremony where Olivia again interrupts everyone’s one on one time and gets the last rose because in her mind, Ben saved “the best for last.” Right. We also said goodbye to Amber and Rachel, who I actually never recall seeing before her exit if I’m being honest. If we thought Vegas was interesting, can’t wait to see these ladies take on Mexico!
I’m excited to start doing weekly recaps. I would love to know your thoughts on the season!
