Back by popular demand…an Ipsy Glam Bag Review. I know lots of you get excited when I post a picture on Instagram of one of my Glam Bags and want to know what’s inside…so let’s get to the details of January’s Glam Bag!
First of all, A+ on the “All Eyes on You” theme this month, Ipsy. Love it.
From left to right: Hey Honey Contour Lifting Fluid, Beau Gachis Paris Smudge Brush, Hikari Cream Metallic Shadow Pigment in Mink, Lasting Smiles Lip Balm in Peppermint Creme, and the Balm Cosmetics Mr. Write (Now) eyeliner in Jack B. Bronze.
First of all, let’s swatch out the cream pigment and eyeliner so you can see the colors!
On the left is the cream pigment, and the right is the eyeliner.
Here is a look I did featuring both of these products- I added a champagne colored shadow on my brow bone to highlight and also did a grey shadow in my crease and finished with my fave mascara of the moment, the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes.
I like the contrast of the smoky shade of the cream pigment with the bronze eyeliner- I had to really put some effort in with the eyeliner because as I’ve mentioned in other posts, I’m not a fan of pencil liner because I personally prefer the more dramatic look of a liquid or a gel.
Alright, so let’s get to the winners of this month’s bag for me. My favorite product by far was the Hikari cream pigment. I am obsessed with Hikari because every product I have gotten from them is not only great quality, but the pigmentation is amazing. You can read my thoughts on their other products I’ve tried here and here. The day I received my Glam Bag in the mail was a cold one and I remember saying to myself “I hope there is a good lip balm in here for my cracked lips.” So the Lasting Smiles Lip Balm is also a winner…plus I love minty flavored balms!
The two products I could do without are the Balm liner, because like I said, pencil liners aren’t my thing. The color is pretty, but it would’ve been better if it was a liquid or a gel. I also have gotten too many eye brushes in my Ipsy bags in the past couple months, so the smudge brush is also a pass for me.
Lastly, I am undecided on the Hey Honey Contour Lifting Fluid. I don’t hate it, but at the same time, I don’t love it.
If you subscribe to Ipsy, what were your feelings on the January Glam bag? Have you tried any of these products?
Great review—can’t wait to read more! I really liked the Hey Honey. I thought I saw a noticeable difference in my dark circles, but I could just be imaging that after reading so many great reviews about it before testing it myself.

Thanks girl! Really? I might have to use it more consistently and see if it helps with my circles- I’ve been using this Tarte brightening under eye cream which I really love, so maybe I should give the Hey Honey a fair shot 🙂
