Alright, I think I’ve stopped hyperventilating enough about the season premiere of the Bachelorette tonight long enough to write up my Monday Favorites.
Seriously though, I feel beauty and style inspiration coming for days. JoJo is flawless, and I think I am more excited for her season than any other season before!
Anyway, I digress with my obsession for the Bachelor so let’s talk my favorites for the week, shall we? I stopped into Ulta the other day to look around and walked out with these goodies.
I’ve been in between wanting to try the Living Proof Dry Shampoo and the Dry Bar Detox Dry Shampoo. After some mixed reviews about Dry Bar and rave reviews about Living Proof, it’s clear from the picture which one I decided to try. They sell both a 4oz and a 1.8 oz size of this product. I picked up the travel size so I could get a feel for it before I decided to buy the full size version. Honestly, this product is great. It smells fresh and it soaks up oil almost instantly. I can see what all the hype is about with this product and I can honestly say I have yet to try a Living Proof product I don’t like.
The next two products I picked up on a whim (and also happened to be buy one get one half off) were the Nip+Fab Bee Sting Eye Fix and the Viper Venom Eye Fix. Despite the scary sounding names, both of these have been making my eyes look and feel fab over the past week. The Bee Sting Eye Fix is super moisturizing, and I love using it before bed. The Viper Venom Eye Fix is a cooling rollerball that feels amazing in the morning, especially on my sometimes puffy allergy eyes. This deal is still going on at Ulta, so if you’ve wanted to try any of the Nip+Fab products, the BOGO is a super steal for these products.
Lastly, I have been trying to find the NYX Lip Lingerie everywhere and it’s been sold out. I know what you’re thinking, Nina do you really need anymore lipstick? The answer is always yes. Especially when I want to give you guys the best info on what’s out there in the beauty world. Not that Ulta had an overwhelming selection because this stuff has been flying off the shelves, but I was able to get my hands on one of the shades I wanted, Lace Detail. I’m assuming these have been popular because they are very similar to the Kylie Lip Kit. In fact, I’ve swatched Lace Detail and compared it to the most similar shade of Kylie I have, Koko K.
Left is Lace Detail, right is Koko K.
Honestly, if you’re looking for a dupe of the Kylie Lip Kits, this is the way to go. Lace Detail is a tad lighter and less pink than Koko K, but these formulas are so similar. You can see it in the side by side. Plus, the NYX Lip Lingerie is $6.99 compared to Kylie’s $29. I want to get my hands on more of these!
So there you have it, my mini Ulta haul! Have you tried any of these products? Tell me what you think!
Speaking of the Bachelor again, a new season marks another round of my Batchin’ and Betchin’ Bachelor Recaps! Stay tuned for that. Also make sure to follow along with my live tweets during all the episodes on Twitter.
