I’ve had a love affair with NARS for years. Since I have a wandering eye with makeup however, I’m always trying new things. When I come back to NARS, I never want to use anything else again because I truly love some of their products so much, like thier iconic Orgasm blush.
I always giggle a bit when I say the name, because let’s face it, when it comes to that word I’m still 12 years old when it comes to saying it out loud. It’s worth the two seconds of embarrassment though, because this blush is everything.
The pinky-peach shade with gold shimmer is so flattering. I was in a bit of a blush rut, and I was thinking about switching back to Orgasm because it never disappoints. When I went to Sephora, they had a new limited edition size for $39 (only $9 more than the regular palette and double the size), so I took it as a sign I needed this blush back in my life and bought it! I’ve been pairing it with my Champagne Pop highlighter, and woah baby, I feel like I have cheekbones for days.
I took this picture this past weekend, and I swear, other than the flash I didn’t edit this picture at all. It’s all blush and highlighter that I used to achieve this glowy look!
The second NARS item I purchased was their Audacious Lipstick in Barbara (which I’m also wearing in the picture above).
The Sephora website describes the shade as a tan rose, which is pretty accurate. I have a problem with nude lipstick shades because they tend to drown me out. Barbara is pretty close to my lip color, so I like it a lot for a natural lip look instead of wearing a true nude color.
The consistency is great, and I love the packaging. It looks so classic, and I think the tube is magnetic because it closes very securely.
I’m so happy with these purchases. If you’re looking for another great NARS product to try, I also love their Velvet Matte Lip Pencils. Two of my most favorite shades are Cruella and Damned.
Happy Monday beauties, and if you need me today and tomorrow, you’ll know you can find me watching the Bachelorette so I can update you on all my thoughts with my recap on Wednesday!
