Happy Monday and Happy Labor Day! I hope you all have been enjoying the long weekend, and the end of this wonderful summer. It’s been a while since I’ve done a Monday Favorites post, but now that I’m starting to get into my new routine, I’m back with my signature weekly post!
Today, I wanted to talk about my favorite BB creams because they are the only thing I’ve been using on my face these days. When BBs first came out, I didn’t understand the hype, but now they’re all I reach for. After much trial and error, I have decided these BBs are my top 3.
I’ve talked about this one before, but I have to mention it again because it’s the best of the best when it comes to BB creams. I have this cream in the shade Natural (5), and I will always love it. It’s one makeup product I always repurchase because I love layering it under another foundation, or wearing it alone on “no makeup” days for a light coverage. Plus the fact is has SPF 30 makes me feel good about wearing it.
This is a relatively new product on the market, but after trying a couple samples, I was hooked. It was really hard to find for a while, but I finally got my hands on the full size product (thank you Target!). Actually, when I first got this, I got the Light shade because it looked like it would match my skin tone on the box. Wrong. The Light shade is really light. When I tried the Light/Medium sample, it was so much better. So to all my fair skin ladies like myself, try the color out on this one first. It has a nice lightweight feel, and great coverage. The only downfall is that it smells a little weird, but goes away quickly after it’s been applied…has anyone else noticed this?
The funny story about this one is that when I couldn’t find the Burt’s Bees BB cream in the store, I reached for this because I had heard good things about it. I really like the Super BB line from Physician’s Formula. I also have the BB powder which is great too! I love the coverage of this one, it seriously hides everything! The only weird part about this line is the shade selection. It currently comes in Light and Light/Medium. I went for the Light/Medium and I have to tone it down just a bit, but the Light is too light for me. I’m hoping for a better shade selection in the future. Fingers crossed!
I would love to know your thoughts if you’ve tried any of these, or have other recommendations of BBs you love.
