I’m back with my first post of 2017! After 12 days in paradise and getting back into the swing of things at work, I’ve finally had a moment to sit down and share my Monday Favorites with you all again. Let’s talk beauty, because what else? I am LOVING so many new (and classic) things.
First things first, CAN WE TALK ABOUT THIS HAIR PRODUCT PLEASE?!
I have legitimately never been more obsessed with a product for my hair than I am with the Ouai Wave Spray. I got a sample of this in my December Ipsy bag and brought it on vacation with me. I actually got a different wave spray for Christmas and went back to Sephora and exchanged it for this one because it is SO GOOD.
First of all, it smells amazing. Second, I love that it doesn’t make my hair feel crunchy, stiff or dried out which a lot of wave sprays containing salt can do. I simply comb my hair out after the shower, spray this all over and twist sections while I let it air dry. I have never loved how my hair has air dried, and now that’s all I let it do. I would never push product on y’all, but you need to pick this one up.
So as I hinted on Insta the other day, I did stop off at Sephora and picked up some goodies when I went to exchange my wave spray.
You know I love my Beauty Blender. Once you go BB, you will never go back. My BB is well over a year old, still in very good shape (like I’ve said before, by that solid cleanser) but it’s starting to tatter a teeny bit and I always get worried about bacteria when sponges get too old. So I was on the lookout for a new one, but behold this awesome kit I found instead
For $40 (only $15 more than just buying the sponge itself) you get a BB, Too Faced Candlelight Glow Compact and the BB Blotterazzi blotting sponge. Plus how cute is this packaging. I would definitely pick this one up if you’re in the market for a new BB yourself, want to try one or just want to stock up on another and get all these cute things that come with it. Next, I got a new product to try and that is the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream.
Honestly, I’ve been digging all of the products I’ve tried from IT Cosmetics. I’m also currently loving their Bye Bye Makeup Cleansing Balm. I actually saw an infomercial (yes, I know) for this product and knew I needed to try it. I’m loving it! For reference, I got this in the Light shade and it’s a perfect color match.
Lastly, I picked up another one of these Sephora Lip Masks. My lips are so dry (thank you winter weather!) and these masks are a lifesaver!
If you haven’t tried them I would definitely recommend.
Also, worth mentioning is a product that is my beauty “unfavorite” for the month.
I had such high expectations for UFO by Sunday Riley. I thought it was going to be some sort of miracle product for my acne prone skin, but it just didn’t do it for me. I know skin sometimes gets worse before it gets better, but my skin seemed to get worse and worse and finally cleared when I stopped using this altogether. I also hated the smell. So with those two things, I returned this to Sephora promptly. Especially with the $80 price tag it also carries. I really really wanted to love this too!
I have so many more beauty favorites as well as style favorites coming. I am open to suggestions for what you all would like to see in the New Year so let me know. Also, make sure you’re following me on Insta (@blondesidestyle) for a super fun giveaway I have going on later!
