Mascara Monday: The Good, The Bad and the Amazing Drugstore Dupe

Today I’ve decided to compile a list of mascaras I’ve tried lately, and also share the ones I tend to stick to because they’re consistently good. As you can tell from my post title, I give you the good, bad and one amazing drugstore dupe that I’ve tried, and trust me you’ll want to stick around to find out what that one is!

Let’s start with the good…

If you look in my makeup arsenal at any given point, Too Faced Better than Sex and Tarte Lights, Camera Lashes are always there. I always repurchase, and go back and forth between these two mascaras. They are a staple for me, and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great mascara.

I’m also going to throw a the so-so category in here to mention a mascara again that wasn’t really great, but also wasn’t one of my favorites.

That would be the Givenchy Noir Interdit mascara. While I don’t think I would repurchase, it did have it’s ok qualities and I will probably try to use what’s left of it up. As I mentioned in my previous post on it, this mascara just wasn’t what I expected.

Now onto the bad. I tried this Revlon Super Length Mascara after seeing commercials all over, and I was so unimpressed with this one.

I love the plush brush, but the formula was a no go for me. Putting it on, I hardly saw a difference in my lashes and had to layer another mascara over it. I tried again the next day, and still received the same results. I would save your money on this one.

Now what about that amazing drugstore dupe…that would be, drumroll please, the L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise.

Look familiar? You might notice the packaging looks like the Better Than Sex Mascara also mentioned above. To be honest, L’Oreal hit it out of the ballpark on this one. This mascara has a very similar brush and the best part? It costs about $15 less than its counterpart.

What mascaras are you loving? I always love a good recommendation, and would also love to hear if you tried any of these picks!
