Friday Fashion Faves: Gucci Soho Disco Bag Review

Everyone has that one style item they’re obsessed with more than any other item. For some people it’s shoes, others jewelry or watches but for me, it’s bags without a doubt. I remember the first ever bag I was obsessed with. For me, was this Dooney and Bourke multi colored bucket bag. I’ve been through my phases of trendy bags and designers, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve graduated to classic, high quality bags.

My go-to will always be my LV Neverfull MM, but this summer I fell in love with a crossbody, the Gucci Soho Disco Bag.

I have been obsessed with this bag for a while, but it wasn’t until a trip to Toronto a few months back where I tried it on, that I knew I had to have it.

Don’t let the small size fool you, because this bag actually fits a lot in this compact design. I can fit my small wallet or cardholder, iPhone 7 plus, keys, small brush and usually a pouch with a couple items, like my lipstick, in this bag.

My favorite features are the large tassel zipper pull and the embossed logo on the front of the bag on the buttery, pebbled leather.

I opted for this beautiful Rose Beige shade, Camelia, although is also comes in red and black which are equally as classic. The strap is adjustable, which I like and the bag itself is so lightweight.

My OCD definitely kicks in when I’m using this bag, and I’ve been very careful not to wear it if I know it’s going to rain, and I definitely try not to wear it against dark denim. Nothing is worse than crossbody bags that are ruined with denim rub off.  I also never wear it where I know I’m going to be a in crowded bar or restaurant where people might be sloshing their drinks around. I’m telling you, I’m always planning outings around my wardrobe, especially when it comes to my bags!

When I’m not wearing it, I store it carefully in its dust bag and also refill it with the tissue it came packaged with so that it does not lose its shape. I also keep it in a cool, dry place, away from any sunlight, just as I keep the rest of my handbags.

I purchased my bag through Nordstrom online after I had a chance to try the bag on at the Gucci store in Toronto, but unfortunately it’s sold out on Nordstrom’s website. Here is the exact bag linked for online purchase, and it is also linked throughout the post.

Although expensive, this bag was worth every penny. I know that I am going to have it forever, and it’s so classic that it’s never going to go out of style. The Camelia shade goes with so much, which is why I opted for it and you can really wear it any time because it is such a versatile piece. If you’ve been thinking about purchasing, I would say go for it. This is my first Gucci bag, and I’m sure it won’t be my last!
