Monday Favorites: Morphe x Jaclyn Hill

I’ve been anxiously waiting to share this post about the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette. I only recently purchased it, because I didn’t get it when it first came out. I wanted to share my thoughts on the palette itself as well as a makeup look I created with it.

Overall, I really love the Morphe shadow palettes. I also own the 35OS palette, which is gorgeous. What I really love about the Jaclyn Hill palette is all of the unique colors. It’s a lot different from any other palette I own, and I love the brightly colored hues.

This palette definitely got me out of my neutral shadow comfort zone, because I opted for the brightly colored teal shade (Pool Party) in the corner as the basis for this look.

I evened it out with some of the neutral brown tones (Hillster and 24/7) in my crease and outer corner, and used one of the whiter shades (Beam) in my inner corner. I also dusted the teal shade along my lower lash line, which is also something I don’t normally do.

All in all, these shadows do not disappoint. They are very pigmented, they apply smoothly and there is hardly any fallout which is always a plus for me. Plus, it’s Jaclyn Hill!

I will also list all the other details of this look for you including what I used on the rest of my face.

Face: Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Ecru and Tarte Cosmetics Shape Tape Concealer in Light

Brows: Maybelline Total Temptation Brow Definer in Medium Brown

Cheeks: Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay Blush in Paaarty

Highlight: Kylie Cosmetics Cotton Candy Creme Kylighter

Lips: Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in Vintage and Marc Jacobs Poutliner in (Prim) Rose

I hope you enjoyed this review and look. Are there any other looks or products you are interested in seeing on my blog?
